THE JOURNEY

This was the first work to include the symbolsm and objects that over the years have become important to me.
It was done in 1992. At that time the accompanying story, was about an allegorical jouney from the dark to the light.

When I made the piece I was unaware how closely my own life was about to mirror "The Journey".

During the autumn of 1992, I became unwell - my own dark place. However I slowly worked my way to the light, with much support from friends.

While I was on this journey - the piece of work was on a very different route - as it was accepted for an Internation Touring Exhibition by 'Coats Patons Crafts' and travelled around Europe.
